The 14th annual Zonta Fall Craft Show at the Adirondack Balloon Festival takes place on the tarmac at Warren County’s Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Friday to Sunday, Sept. 20-22. It’s open all hours that gates are open.
Vendors offer balloon-themed items, clothing, gifts, food products and more. It’s rain or shine — and the craft show goes on whether balloons fly or not.
“We start at 4:30 a.m. when the gates open and we don’t stop until Sunday, when we have to be out by 9:30 a.m.” —after the final morning balloon flight — organizer Chris Legg of Zonta previously said. “It’s a long weekend for us.”
Zonta splits its profits with the Balloon Festival. Miss Legg said this year they’re running a program ad thanking the Balloon Festival: “Over the 14 years we have made a profit of nearly $100,000. We thank them for partnering with us.”
The proceeds fund Zonta Club’s local scholarships, service projects and international projects, “with emphasis on making a better world for women and girls,” says the Website.
