Warren County OK’s $3 million from bed tax for ‘game changer’ winter attraction

Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: The Warren County Board of Supervisors approved spending up to $3 million in Occupancy Tax funds to bring to Lake George a new indoor winter attraction: a Canadian-created interactive, immersive light “experience.”

“It’s a game-changer,” like the Ice Castles, but not dependent on weather, said Sam Luciano, president and general manager of the Fort William Henry, where the attraction will be based.

Women’s Care to close, MDs to HHHN, Saratoga Hospita

Women’s Care obstetrics and gynecology practice with offices in Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs, announced it will close permanently on August 30.

Lake George season pass boaters lost valued option in NY’s new rules

In your commentary about the new Lake George day-use site reservation system [June 22 Chronicle], you didn’t mention what I consider to be a significant change (and loss) with the Annual Pass (Passport).

In past years, a pass holder not only had the ability to “squat” on an unused day-use site but could also officially reserve a day-use site at no additional charge using their pass number.

Glens Falls Council urges Queensbury: Reject rezoning for F.W. Webb
