Saratoga County fights opioids with $900,000 payout; Narcan handouts, more

Saratoga County received $899,467.17 to date in five opioid settlement agreements with drug companies, and it is using some of that money to get Narcan in the hands of community members.

Naloxone, the so-called “Lazarus” drug in Narcan, temporarily halts the immediate effects of an overdose.

The County has held several free Narcan distribution events already this year.

Mayor Collins: Sidewalk dining must change to meet ADA rules

OrthoNY is now Glens Falls Hospital’s orthopedic provider

OrthoNY, a Capital District medical practice, is Glens Falls Hospital’s new provider of orthopedic care, succeeding the hospital- owned Orthopedic Specialists, which it acquired as North Country Sports Medicine five years ago.

Dr. Andre Johnson and Dr. Adam Brod, the two remaining physicians in Orthopedic Specialists, have joined the OrthoNY practice.

Habitat & WAIT House to debut joint project: 10 affordable apts. on Lawrence St.
