Fun Spot plans daycare expansion; 2 new classrooms

CHRONICLE SCOOP: Zander Frost reports: The Fun Spot on Route 9 in Queensbury is seeking approval for a major expansion of its daycare facility “to help meet the need for growing demand.”

The project would demolish a facility maintenance shop and storage space “to construct two new daycare classrooms with bath and storage facilities,” documents submitted to the Queensbury Planning Board said.

LG skater fell through ice at Diamond Point; self-rescue

Cathy DeDe reports: A skater fell through the ice Saturday at Diamond Point on Lake George and was able to “self-rescue,” Warren County Sheriff Jim LaFarr confirmed to The Chronicle.

Sheriff LaFarr said the skaters, “entered onto the ice at Million Dollar Beach. They skated north to the area of Diamond Point and one of them, a female, fell through. She was able to self rescue.”

West Mountain alpine village plan gets pushback at hearing
