Moreau opts out: No, on marijuana sales, at least to begin with

Chronicle managing editor Cathy DeDe writes: The Moreau Town Board voted unanimously (4-0, with Councilman John Donohue absent) to opt “out” of allowing sale of marijuana under New York State’s legalization law, Town Supervisor Todd Kusnierz told The Chronicle.

SFC Coon’s Christmas Eve Road March is back, Friday

On Christmas Eve day, Friday, Dec. 24, at 0900 hours — that’s 9 a.m., civilians — SFC Arthur Coon’s 18th annual Christmas Eve Road March steps off in person, again, from the Cool Insuring Arena in downtown Glens Falls.

Arrive before 9 for the ceremony, when the volunteers will also collect care package donations for deployed soldiers.

SGF’s Kingpin’s Alley: Mandate has already cost $4,000 in cancelled parties

New York State’s new vaccine-or-mask mandate is hitting bowling alleys hard, says owner of South Glens Falls’ Kingpin’s Alley Doug Bohannon, who is also president of the state Bowling Proprietors organization.
