Flamingo on Lake George will stay a family resort

After 65 seasons the Pasternak family has sold The Flamingo Resort at Diamond Point on Lake George for $6.5 million to Chris and Jill Kozaczka.

The families share eastern European heritage and a desire to keep the Flamingo family-operated and focused.

NYS order: Hospitals curtail elective surgery

New York Governor Kathy Hochul on Monday announced a list of 32 hospitals that she said are “ceasing elective surgery” through an executive order.

Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital and their parent hospital Albany Medical Center were all included on the state’s list. All are at “10% or less capacity.”

Glens Falls School vote Dec. 14: Capital projects including field lights

Voters in the Glens Falls City School District go to the polls on Tuesday, Dec. 14, to decide on two Capital Projects costing up to $32.1 million.

Tuesday’s vote is from noon to 9 p.m. at Sanford Street School. Abraham Wing district residents are not eligible to vote.
