Rock Hill Cafe reopens for indoor dining, 16 months later

Rock Hill Bakehouse — in the Shirt Factory annex building on Curran Lane in Glens Falls — reopened Tuesday for in-house dining. The vegan cafe had been closed for Covid since March 21, 2020.

“We spent the past 13 months doing curbside and giving away free bread,” owner Matt Funiciello told The Chronicle.

Bronzino & Barkenhagen plan ‘vertical farm’ in former blacksmith shop

Well, something will be growing in the ancient blacksmith building at the foot of Glen Street hill that most recently housed the Bride and Gown consignment shop. But, no, it won’t be marijuana.

Building owner Brian Bronzino and partner Robin Barkenhagen still aim to open a cannabis dispensary on the building’s first floor, but that project awaits state and city action.

Jack Celeste put Coach’s Corner on wheels

Coach’s Corner used to be located at 71 Saratoga Ave. in South Glens Falls. Now it’s at whatever corner owner Jack Celeste chooses. He moved his business to a truck.

Last July, Mr. Celeste decided not to renew his lease on the diner. “It’s time to make a change,” he thought.
