Thanksgiving free dinners in Glens Falls & Argyle

Glens Falls’s 36th Hometown Thanksgiving Dinner, takes place Thursday, Nov. 28, at Christ Church United Methodist on Bay and Washington Streets with ongoing seatings from noon to 3 p.m. It’s free, no reservations required.

Critics grill NYS on cause of high local cancer rate

Hospital finances improve

Glens Falls Hospital files its 2018 Internal Revenue Service 990 statement this week, and it shows improved financial performance — an $11.7-million gain for 2018 after a $34-million loss for 2017. Alcohol: Argyle gears up

Businesses are wasting no time after Argyle voters on Nov. 5 overwhelmingly approved four initiatives to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in the long-dry town.
