Sen. Schumer ‘inspired’ after touring historic Hudson Falls buildings

Experts: No worry, birds are here

Many people in the area have noticed a lack of birds at their feeders this fall, but Jim Farquhar, chief of the Bureau of Wildlife at the state Department of Environmental Conservation, tells The Chronicle that the birds are around, but have been actively foraging on natural foods.

“There’s nothing to indicate that there’s any issues” with bird population numbers, he said.

Susan Siplon & Bridget Dunigan to run GF’s new Park Theater

Elizabeth Miller has chosen Susan Siplon as executive director and Bridget Dunigan as managing director of her massively renovated Park Theater in Glens Falls, The Chronicle has learned.

They’ll both begin work Dec. 18. The theater, on Park Street downtown, aims to open in February or March.

Cumberland Farms consultant: ‘Minor’ traffic impact if it puts store north of outlet plazas

An evaluation done for Cumberland Farms by VHB Engineering says a proposed convenience store at the intersection of Routes 9 and 149 north of the factory outlets in Queensbury “is expected to have a minor impact on local traffic operations.”
