LG Music Fest: Good tunes, but such a weird turnout

The American Music Festival retains its position as the likely high-water mark for successful events at the Festival Commons at the Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George — but on a slightly weird foundation this year.

Gordon: GF will retain state hoops tourney for 2017-19

It won’t be official until the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Executive Committee votes on Oct. 22, but Glens Falls will keep the boys’ basketball tournament at the Civic Center for 2017, 2018 and 2019.

GF Civic Center will keep food service in-house

The Glens Falls Civic Center’s contract with Ovations food services expired yesterday, on September 30. As of today, October 1, the Civic Center is bringing its concessions in-house, director Jeff Mead says.
