Teens charged in Glens Falls stabbing, arson, more

Glens Falls Police have arrested several juveniles on felony level charges over the last few months, the department announced in a Facebook post.

The police reported an attempted arson of a Maple Street commercial building. The Police said at the Board of Public Safety meeting that arson was attempted at the Queensbury Hotel. Minor damage to the building’s exterior area was reported.

Dog bitten by rattlesnake

A story posted about a dog bitten by a timber rattlesnake on the Fifth Peak trail in Lake George’s Tongue Mountain Range spread widely on social media.

An unnamed hiker posted May 27 on the Reddit app that the previous day their 15-pound dog was bitten on the trail.

Glens Falls installs security cameras in parks

Last week, someone asked in a Glens Falls community Facebook group, “What is the new ‘monitoring station’ at Crandall Park?”

“Cameras,” Glens Falls 2nd Ward Councilman Bob Landry replied. “They now monitor all our City parks.”
