Newest Lake George peril

The Lake George Park Commission’s boat inspection program intercepted “a whole bucketful” of invasive rusty crayfish last summer and kept them out of the lake, Commission executive director Dave Wick tells The Chronicle.

Moreau State Park gets 6 new cabins, allowing year-round use & dog stays too!

Moreau Lake State Park has six cedar cabins under construction on the eastern edge of the park that, for the first time, will allow for year-round camping. Also for the first time, some will allow people to bring their dogs along.

27 acres at SGF Exit 17 sells for $1.6-million

Munter Enterprises, a construction company in Middle Grove in Saratoga County, bought 26.7 acres next to northbound Exit 17 in Moreau for $1.6-million on Dec. 12.
