LARAC Fest this weekend: 150 artists & fine crafts in Glens Falls City Park

From fine art to fun finds, the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council’s annual June Arts Festival returns to City Park in downtown Glens Falls on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18.

Admission is free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 to 4 on Sunday. It’s held rain or shine.

Faults Warren County plan for ‘asylum seekers’

Regarding the Chronicle’s article [County Administrator John Taflan’s essay, June 8] about Warren County preparing for asylum seekers, my first thought was that this is a leftover April fool article.

After reading it, I have several comments and questions. It apparently refers to immigrants being farmed out from New York City, one of three sanctuary cities in New York State (Albany and Ithaca the other two, plus Westchester County).…

As of July 11, The Post-Star said it will publish a print paper only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The other days it will be strictly digital, said an article in today’s paper headlined, “Your expanded Post Star coming soon.”

Immunotek Plasma Donation Center open soon at former Aldi

Coming soon to the former Aldi store on Quaker Road in Queensbury is an Immunotek Plasma Donation Center.

Construction will be done by the end of the month, Tod Foreman, Superintendent for the General Contractor, told The Chronicle.
