High School Musical awards at Proctors: Huge night for local kids

We’re on a high! Glens Falls and Queensbury High Schools took home Best Musical awards in two of the three “tiers” at the Capital Region High School Musical Theatre Awards last Saturday night at Proctors Theater in Schenectady.

Glens Falls won for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Queensbury for Shrek the Musical.

Glens Falls Code Officer Reckner to exit; angered some in business; Mayor sings his praises

Glens Falls Code Enforcement Officer Justin Reckner submitted his resignation and will leave the job in two weeks, roughly eight months after he was hired.

Critic of drag queen story hour wins seat at Luzerne’s libary

In the hotly contested race for Rockwell Falls Public Library Trustee, the two winners were Josh Jacquard with 279 votes and Kathleen Jones with 187.

A write-in candidate, Jason Hall, finished third, with 132 votes. Robin Cammarata had 108, and Jade Eddy 107.

At Moreau farm: Ice cream & pony rides to benefit Inherit the Gold Foundation

Jim and Sue Hooper “announce the opening of ‘Winners Gourmet Ice Cream,’ a mobile ice cream trailer that will be stationed…most of this summer” at their Haven Oaks Farm, 46 Reynolds Road in the Town of Moreau.
