Knights, Wolves, Black Bears, Hawks: GF’s final mascot options

The final choices for Glens Falls’ new mascot, as chosen by “the Superintendent’s Student Cabinet,” are Knights, Wolves, Black Bears, and Hawks, Superintendent Krislynn Dengler announced Tuesday.

Fort Ann Village has March 21 contests for mayor & trustee

The last time Fort Ann Village had an election, only four of its 484 residents voted. It was uncontested. The turnout is likely to be a lot higher on March 21.

Bread baker, 24, on the rise with his sourdough

Haux Nest Bread has grown from a side gig for 24-year-old Kevin Haux — pronounced “hawks” — to now appearing in some of the area’s top eateries.

His sourdough bread is sold at Park & Elm in Glens Falls and is on the menu at Hamlet & Ghost, a celebrated restaurant in Saratoga Springs. His biggest customer is Saratoga Olive Oil Company.
