HF boys beat GF in basketball, first since 2009

The Hudson Falls High School boys basketball team defeated Glens Falls, 57-44, last Monday for the first time since the 2008-09 season.

“That was four coaches ago for us,” Hudson Falls Varsity coach Greg Smith told The Chronicle. It’s his third season leading the team.

Hudson Falls was 11-3 with a 10-2 league record entering Tuesday.

NYS Farm Wage Board votes 2-1: Make overtime threshold 40, not 60 hours

The New York State Farm Laborer Wage Board, on a 2-1 vote, last Friday afternoon approved a resolution to lower the threshold for overtime pay from 60 to 40 hours in phases over the next 10 years.

New Way Lunch plans to reopen on South Street this summer; add outdoor dining

New Way Lunch will reopen on South Street by mid-summer, adding outdoor dining and a “facelift.”
