‘Mint’ nears debut in the former Mailings Made Easy building

After an extended delay, Mint restaurant aims to open in early March in Peter Hoffman’s redone Mailings Made Easy building on Warren Street in Glens Falls.

It’s a project of Johanna von Geldern, who previously operated Sweet Beet Bistro on Main Street in Greenwich, and her daughters Cagney and Kate Houlihan of Saratoga.

EDC moving into former Empire Theatre

Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: The Warren County Economic Development Corporation expects by next week to be in its new home — Mike Kaidas’s redeveloped Empire Theater building on South Street, Glens Falls.

Pedestrian killed in Broad St. hit & run; Police: Driver ID’d

Nina A. Dever, 71, of Glens Falls, was struck by a motor vehicle on Broad Street near South Western Avenue Sunday morning, Feb. 6. She was pronounced dead at Glens Falls Hospital.

Greenwich fire claims historic building; arson arrest made

The 1892 Wilmarth Building at 126 Main Street in Greenwich was destroyed by fire on Sunday, Feb. 6. No one was injured although the fate of some pets wasn’t immediately known.

A man who fled the building was charged with arson, said the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department
