Glens Falls reval a shock to some

Glens Falls hadn’t done a general reassessment of property values since 2005.

Last week, owners were notified of new preliminary assessments calculated by KLW Appraisal Group of Buffalo.

It’s caused some shock waves.

2 new directors: Nicole Herwig at Chapman; Phil Casabona LARAC

The Chapman Historical Museum has named Nicole Herwig, most recently Assistant Curator of the Hyde Collection, as its new Executive Director.

She succeeds Timothy Weidner, who retired after serving 23 years in the job.

LARAC, the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, named current Gallery Curator and Festival Coordinator Phil Casabona as its Executive Director. Candice Frye stepped down on March 1.

The Glens Falls Symphony has set up a Ukraine Musicians Fund on the ticket page of its website, TheGlensFallsSymphony.org, to help GFSO Second Clarinet player Sergiy Dvornichenko and his musicial colleagues in Ukraine.
