Rick’s Bike Shop sold to Lendrum brothers, who operate North Country Subaru

Rick Chiasson has sold Rick’s Bike Shop on the corner of Quaker and Ridge Roads in Queensbury to brothers Eric and Jared Lendrum, who also co-own the nearby North Country Subaru dealership that was started by their father Ken.

Rick was already on a vacation Monday when The Chronicle stopped by.

GF Hospital earns ‘Magnet’ for ‘excellence’ of nursing staff

Glens Falls Hospital said it has been credentialed as a Magnet Organization, the “gold standard for nursing excellence.”

Only 8 percent of all hospitals in the United States, and fewer than 10 percent of hospitals world-wide hold the distinction, said the press release.

“To receive Magnet Recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, an organization must demonstrate excellent quality outcomes, satisfied patients, and engaged nurses,” said press info.

Family opens Book Cabin bookstore in LG, at Trinity Rock Motel, also a project

The Jalowiec family of Connecticut has opened a bookstore, The Book Cabin, at 3373 Lake Shore Drive in Lake George, adjacent to the Trinity Rock Motel, which they bought and are renovating.
