Carriage Traders’ Len Romeo is grand marshal of SGF Fire Co. Holiday Parade

Len Romeo, owner of the vehicle retailer Carriage Traders, will be grand marshal for the 38th annual South Glens Falls Fire Company Holiday Parade, committee cochairs Megan Quinn and Tom Tracy announced Tuesday.

“When we floated the idea of taking over the parade, Lenny was the first one to step up and commit to helping us,” Mrs. Quinn told The Chronicle.

Smiths express gratitude for help after fire; death of 3 pets weighs on them

No people were injured when Kent and Cheryl Smith’s home at 25 Orchard Drive in Queensbury was destroyed by fire last Friday, Oct. 6, but they’re hurting from the deaths of three of their pets — two dogs, Kobi and Willie, and their cat Jazmyn, Mr. Smith’s sister Kristin Howarth tells The Chronicle.
