Warren County debates change to how it distributes sales tax revenue

Battles lines are being drawn as Warren County supervisors debate how the county divides $26-million in sales tax revenue among its 11 towns and the City of Glens Falls.

Right now, the money is distributed based on each town’s assessed property value, benefiting towns with expensive waterfront homes like Bolton, Lake George, Chester, Horicon and Hague.

Glens Falls VA clinic to double in size: 101 Ridge

The Albany Stratton VA Medical Center will double the size of its Glens Falls clinic when it moves into a 9,800-square-foot space at 101 Ridge Street in the late Dr. Steve Serlin’s Women’s Health Institute building.

28 apartments for homeless planned on Cooper St., Glens Falls

With $9.2-million in state funding, the Warren-Washington Association for Mental Health (WWAMH) plans to build 28 apartments of affordable permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals at 47-50 Cooper Street in Glens Falls. It’s the former Mullen Ironworks property.
