Geraghty, on Warren County 8% sales tax workshop 8/14

The Warren County Board of Supervisors was to discuss raising the County sales tax from 7% to 8% at a workshop meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 14 — after The Chronicle’s Tuesday deadline.

Prior to the meeting, The Chronicle asked board chair Kevin Geraghty of Warrensburg if he expects the sales tax to be on the Friday, Aug. 16, monthly board meeting agenda.

Trump Lake George Boat Parade Aug. 17

A Trump Lake George Boat Parade organized by The Adirondack Republican Women’s Club of Warren County is set for Saturday, Aug. 17. from noon to 3 p.m.

It will start at Plumb Point on the lake’s east shore and proceed clockwise in a circle that includes passing Lake George Village and The Sagamore.

The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 25.

The Washington County Fair returns for its 134th year Monday, Aug. 19 through Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Fairgrounds on Old Schuylerville Road west of Greenwich.
