Lymphoma breakthrough: Tina Bureau’s new lease on life

“I didn’t cry when I was sick, but now I’m crying and it’s tears of joy,” says Queensbury schoolteacher Tina Bureau.

Diagnosed a year ago with an aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that did not respond to chemotherapy, Mrs. Bureau accepted a chance to participate in an experimental immunotherapy clinical trial at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Carriage Traders’ Len Romeo is grand marshal of SGF Fire Co. Holiday Parade

Len Romeo, owner of the vehicle retailer Carriage Traders, will be grand marshal for the 38th annual South Glens Falls Fire Company Holiday Parade, committee cochairs Megan Quinn and Tom Tracy announced Tuesday.

“When we floated the idea of taking over the parade, Lenny was the first one to step up and commit to helping us,” Mrs. Quinn told The Chronicle.

Smiths express gratitude for help after fire; death of 3 pets weighs on them
