Columbia Cabinets has purchased Kitchen Dimensions from Queensbury entrepreneur Steve Jackoski, and opened a showroom at 974 State Route 9 in Queensbury, next to Benny’s Deli.

Alice Harris gift of 107 acres a boon to hiking up Potash Mtn.

As it is, 13 Hadley-Luzerne High School graduates each received $2,000 this year toward college expenses, courtesy of a $1-million bequest of Alice Harris, the long-time proprietor of Harris Grocery, who died at the age of 97 in 2007.

Lake George Brewing: New thrust of former Davidson’s on Rt. 9, Qby.

The Lake George Brewing Company will be the new name of the former Davidson’s Brewery on Route 9 in Queensbury, south of The Great Escape.

It was purchased last year by Northern Eagle Beverages, an Oneonta beer distributor, which currently uses it to make and bottle Davidson’s various ales.
