Vintage clothes popularity rises: Environmental sustainability; individuality; the styles rebound

Laura Traudt, owner of Laura’s Vintage in Glens Falls, has noticed vintage clothing is “getting more difficult to find, because it’s so popular.”

She says, “I’ve sacrificed a lot of my own collection” to keep her store stocked.

Ms. Traudt says environmental sustainability drives the popularity of vintage clothing.

Finders Keepers consignment opening 2nd shop, in outlets

Kyleen Wade is opening a second location of her Finders Keepers Glens Falls consignment shop on the “Million Dollar Half-Mile” in the Adirondack Outlet Mall.

She’s planning a soft opening this weekend.

Ms. Wade said Laura Kohls, daughter of mall owner Dave Kenny, approached her in mid-December about opening a second location at their building.

A women’s wear retail boom in Glens Falls?
